With Game of Thrones in her rear view mirror, Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) is making some changes. First it was a new dragon tattoo commemorating her time on the show, and now, Clarke has chopped off all her hair. Well most of it anyway. Behold the Breaker of Chains’ new bob:
Clarke received the trim courtesy of celebrity hair stylist Jenny Cho, who was happy to make her look like Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt circa 1996:

So we’re spending a lot of time talking about haircuts here, but on Game of Thrones, the actors’ hair can be as as their performance…perhaps moreso, if you’re Kit Harington (Jon Snow). Although filming on season 8 is finished, Harington has said he intends to keep his flowing Jon Snow locks in now, in case additional shooting is needed.
Clarke is under no such constraint; she may have dyed her hair platinum blonde for the final season, but Dany’s hair is still mostly wig. This s*it doesn’t just happen naturally:

So Clarke can still film additional scenes if needed, short hair or no. Perhaps the shorter hair will lead into her next gig, a holiday romance titled Last Christmas?
As for Harington, we’ll be keeping an eye on his head, as ever. It won’t like Game of Thrones filming is truly over until that mane is shorn.
