Daredevil is set to drop on Netflix on October 19th. This season will find Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) at rock bottom after the events of The Defenders. Ahead of the Daredevil panel at this year’s New York Comic Con, Marvel and Netflix released a new trailer showing us just how far Daredevil has fallen. Watch, but beware of SPOILERS!

Carlton Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) will return in a big way in season 3, making the hero’s life hell. It also looks like Daredevil will be facing off with…Daredevil, as seen at the end there.

Before you begin speculating about clones or shape-shifters or psychotic breaks, the doppelganger is most likely simply Bullseye, a longtime Daredevil antagonist, pretending to be Daredevil at the behest of the Kingpin, who’s trying to ruin his enemy’s reputation…Although we can’t rule out a crazy shape-shifting clone.

When last we saw Murdock, he was recuperating in a convent after the Defenders brought down a skyscraper on top of him in an attempt to save New York City. Did he lose his suit in that catastrophe, because in the trailer he’s back in his low-tech black costume in some shots.

Daredevil will have a heavy presence at NYCC, with a panel featuring cast members Cox, D’Onofrio, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll,  Joanne Whalley, Jay Ali and Bethel alongside showrunner Erik Oleson and Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb set for this Saturday. We can expect more footage then.

Next. Disney’s live-action Star Wars series will be called ‘The Mandalorian’. dark
