Westworld: Everything to know about the man who plays Lee Sizemore
By Ariba Bhuvad
We may know a bit about Lee Sizemore of Westworld, but who is Simon Quarterman?
Westworld has introduced us to a myriad of actors and actresses in the past two seasons and we’ve grown to love them for their perfections and shortcomings as they breathe life into the iconic characters. One particular character that has become a big part of Westworld is Lee Sizemore, played by Simon Quarterman.
Have you ever wondered how Quarterman got his start or how he ended up on this series? Well, lucky for you, we are here to discuss all things Quarterman and his journey to Westworld. We met Quarterman’s Sizemore in season 1 who fans came to know as the cocky guy behind creating the narratives in the park.
And while he was clinging on to the dream that he would get Ford’s job post-retirement, the dream quickly got away from him. But who is the person behind the narrative creator? Mr. Simon Quarterman.
Quarterman is a British actor and has been seen in quite a number of horror films including The Devil Inside and Wer. He was also seen in The Scorpion King: Rise of a Warrior and on a number of TV shows including Stitchers, according to Romper.
While a lot of the cast has social media accounts, Quarterman does not which makes it difficult to keep up with what he’s up to in the off-season. However, Lee Sizemore is the first major character that Quarterman has played on TV–well, did anyway.
In season 2, Sizemore courageously met his demise when he sacrificed himself so Maeve and Hector could escape. He became the hero of Westworld and redeemed himself for all the wrongs he had committed. R.I.P. Sizemore, you went out with a bang.
Whether or not Quarterman will be seen in Westworld season 3 is yet to be seen, because in this series you can never really believe anyone is truly dead. So here’s to hoping we see him again as Lee–the man who won us over during his last few breaths.
