Robb Stark could be our next James Bond. The Daily Mail reports that former Game of Thrones star Richard Madden has impressed the producers at Eon Productions, which has the final say on all Bond characters. Executive producer Barbara Broccoli is likely to approach Madden in the next few days.

According to Mail, Madden’s role on the BBC’s Bodyguard was a deciding factor. There, he plays Sergeant David Budd, a war vet charged with protecting the Home Secretary of Britain (Keeley Hawes). The steamy romantic chemistry between the two helped.

This puts Madden at the front of the line to replace Daniel Craig, who’s played Bond for the last four movies, plus one more to come in 2020. Other pmuch-discussed candidates have included Tom Hardy; Tom Hiddleston; Idris Elba, who would be the first Bond of color; and even Emily Blunt, who would be the first female Bond, although Broccoli previously dismissed that last one as speculation.

As cool as it would be to see an actor shake up the Bond formula, Madden does have the presence and smolder to do the part justice, and it’s always nice to see a Thrones vet do well.
