On November 20, A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin will publish Fire & Blood, all about the history of the Targaryen dynasty. In celebration, Martin has officially declared November Targaryen appreciation month. Start appreciating!

To kick things off, Martin released a video discussing one of his favorite “grey” characters from his invented history: Daemon Targaryen, the Rogue Prince. Learn all about him:

“He’s a notorious bad boy, a rogue in every sense of the word,” Martin says. “He switches sides several times, you never know what side he’s going to come down on. He’s a very colorful and unpredictable character, and I think he has to rank up there as my favorite.”

Fire & Blood is the first of two books in Martin’s “imaginary history” of House Targaryen. It covers everything from Aegon Targaryen’s conquest of Westeros, which takes place about 300 years before the events Game of Thrones, through the Dance of the Dragons, the Targaryen civil war that tore the realm apart.

Last week,  Martin’s German publisher released a table of contents and a brief preview of the book, but if you aren’t fluent in German, that may not have meant much to you. Now, Martin himself has released the English table of contents on his Facebook page:
