Westworld: Louis Herthum to join untitled Hilde Lysiak Apple series
By Ariba Bhuvad
Louis Herthum of Westworld is headed to Apple for the untitled Hilde Lysiak series!
Westworld is one of many projects Louis Herthum aka Papa Abernathy has been a part of and his upcoming project for Apple’s streaming service is another one to add to the list! The untitled series is a family drama that follows the story of an 11-year old girl named Hilde Lysiak.
Herthum will be a series regular on the show and is playing the role of a police officer named Frank Briggs Sr.–a character type he is no stranger to. In the ’90s, Herthum played the role of Deputy Andy Broom on CBS’ Murder She Wrote so adjusting into this specific role will be quite familiar to him.
Joining Herthum on the cast is The Florida Project’s Brooklynn Prince who will play Hilde Lysiak and ’21’s Jim Sturgess who plays the role of Hilde’s father. The 10-episode drama follows Prince’s character as she moves from Brooklyn to the small town her father was quick to leave behind.
Upon arriving, Hilde will learn the town harbors many secrets, ones they have worked hard to keep hidden (and this is based on a true story!). How exactly Herthum’s character, Frank, will play a role in all of this is yet to be seen, but we can’t wait to find out!
Recently, Louis Herthum is best known for his role as Peter Abernathy on Westworld–Papa Bear to Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores. Over the course of the two seasons, Herthum has been an integral part of the Westworld storyline and his character has driven the narrative in ways we never could have imagined.
Along with Westworld, Herthum has recently guest-starred on NBC’s Chicago Fire and Chicago Med. It’s safe to say the man has been busy, and we love him even more for it!
