Jason Momoa will host Saturday Night Live next weekend

Saturday Night Live has a few new episodes left before the end of the year, and it’s just released its lineup of hosts and musical guests. Among the hosts: Game of Thrones alum and current Aquaman Jason Momoa, hosting the December 8 episode:

Momoa is the second Game of Thrones cast member to host the show, with Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) stopping by on April 2, 2016. And yes, it’s been a while since Momoa was actually on Thrones, but there’s a part of us that will always remember him as Khal Drogo, and if his opening monologue isn’t about him trying to talk about Aquaman while ducking audience questions about the Game of Thrones series finale, we will be disappointed. Other acceptable sketch ideas include:

  • Khal Drogo greeting celebrity guests at his wedding to Daenerys Targaryen.
  • Aquaman, but he’s a lifeguard. Did you know that one of Momoa’s first acting roles was on Baywatch Hawaii?
  • Something involving the fact that Mary Poppings star Julie Andrews plays a giant fish monster in Aquaman. I do not care what it is.

Either that, or SNL can bring back Dinklage’s signature skit Space Pants, with Momoa taking over the lead role:

Your move, NBC.
