Fandom 250: Where did Westworld fall in the rankings?

Westworld has one of the most amazing fandoms, and as if we didn’t know this already, now we have additional proof to back it up. In FanSided’s Fandom 2018 list of fandom rankings, Westworld ranked 233rd overall and 24th under the television category.

You may be thinking that this doesn’t seem like a very high ranking, but let us remind you that some shows didn’t even make the cut. Besides, no matter what fandom you are in, it’s all about love and celebrating your favorite shows together.

One of the reasons why Westworld belongs in the Fandom 2018 list is because it’s fans are dedicated. We take to Twitter, Reddit, and any forum to discuss theories, break down episodes, and analyze the intricate storylines of the series. There’s never been such a collaborative fandom since the likes of Game of Thrones.

There’s something to be said about the Westworld fandom given that we have to wait so long between each season. Since it first began in 2016, we have had only 20 episodes and more won’t be coming until at least 2020. But that doesn’t stop the fandom from keeping the love alive.

Despite the long hiatus, fans are actively discussing and participating in conversations all over the world. It is why this fandom is so special and why even the showrunners take the fandom very seriously. It’s a back and forth relationship at this point because it’s become impossible to fool the fandom. Because of this, the showrunners often have to adjust their storyline.

Just like any other fandom, Westworld fans appreciate their show more than anything. They relate to its characters, find deeper connections to the storyline, and carry the messages the series tries to convey. The series has begun a beautiful journey and created a world of fans unlike any other–and we can’t wait to see what comes next!
