Check out the first trailer for Men in Black: International
Chris Hemsworth, aka Thor in the MCU, is once again teaming up with Westworld star Tessa Thompson for Men in Black: International, a reboot of the MIB franchise, last scene with original stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in 2012 with Men in Black 3. Hemsworth and Thomspson are stepping up to the plate:
For longtime fans of the series, there are a few Easter eggs to uncover in this trailer. First, did you notice the painting of Smith and Jones’ characters on the wall?
Second, Emma Thompson is reprising her role as Agent O, the head of the US branch of the MIB, from Men in Black 3. We also see the walking worm-like aliens — the Sleeble, Neeble, and Mannix — that have appeared in every film so far. The tradition continues.
Finally, towards the end of the trailer, Hemsworth’s character — Agent H — picks up a hammer and holds it just like Thor. Yeah, this movie looks like it’s going to be a blast.
Oddly enough, it looks like Sony released two different versions of the trailer. Here’s the second one, which explains how Thompson’s character — Agent M — joins the MIB.
International also stars Liam Neeson as the head of the UK branch of MIB, Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley) as Pawny, and Rafe Spall (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) and Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Fallout) in undisclosed roles.
Men in Black: International hits theaters on June 14, 2019.
