Everything Game of Thrones stars have said about season 8

One thing we can be sure of: filming the final season of Game of Thrones was an emotional experience for its stars. More than one talked about how the tears started to flow after the cast read through the season for the first time. “[I]t was really bittersweet,” said Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark). “It was hard. At the end of the very last script, they read aloud, ‘End of Game of Thrones.’ As soon as they read that out, pretty much everyone burst into tears. There was a standing ovation for [showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss]. We were all clapping and cheering. It was amazing.”
Kit Harington (Jon Snow) confirmed her version of events:
"I’m really emotional about it. We had the read through last week, so I know everything. But I cried at the end – not over anything particular that happened – but it’s been 8 years and no one cares about it more than we do."
This makes perfect sense. Several of these actors have been with the show since the beginning of their careers. Apart from what actually happens in season 8, it’s got to be painful saying goodbye.
