Richard Madden (Robb Stark) reveals who he wants to take the Iron Throne
By Dan Selcke
Richard Madden, once best known for playing Robb Stark on Game of Thrones, had a big weekend. He took home a Golden Globe — his first ever — for his work on the BBC’s Bodyguard, a show that’s been getting talked up a lot lately, and Madden’s win can can only help. “I’m just kind of blown away that as many people have watched it and talked about it and [are] telling other people about it,” he told IMDb on the red carpet. “So I’m just thankful for that.”
In Bodyguard, Madden plays Sergeant David Budd, a military veteran who still bears psychological scars from his time in a war zone. Obviously, his performance has gone over well, but there will still always be some people who look at Madden and see Robb Stark. Honoring those people, IMDb if he’s looking forward to watching the final season of Game of Thrones as a fan. “Absolutely,” Madden replied. “I can’t wait for the new season of it, yeah.”
And who does he think should take the Iron Throne in the end?
"Jon and Daenerys. I think they could do it together, I think that would be good."
So there you go. Jon and Dany have the official seal of approval from (the man who played) Robb Stark. That’s gotta count for something.
