Torchwood: Cover and details revealed for God Among Us 2

Next month, the sixth series of Torchwood continues with God Among Us 2, and new details have been revealed – including the return of 1950s Torchwood agent, Norton Folgate!

The first volume of Torchwood‘s sixth series, God Among Us, was a really strong start. It neatly resolved many of the loose threads from previous series Aliens Among Us, while setting up an intriguing start to a brand new arc. It also provided a lot of surprises and shocks for both the Torchwood team and the audience.

We’re just a month away from the release of the second volume, and it sounds like it’s set to be another exciting release. Particularly with the inclusion of Norton Folgate, as played by Samuel Barnett. (Sci-fi fans will perhaps know Barnett best from the current adaptation of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.)

Here’s the synopsis for the upcoming box set.

One of the best creations that Big Finish have added to the Torchwood universe (other than Mr Colchester, of course) is Norton Folgate. An agent from the 1950s, Folgate initially seems to be harmless, if very eccentric.

Don’t be fooled. Folgate is a man who’s always working towards his own agenda, and has consistently proven that he cannot be trusted. He really is a wonderfully written and performed character with hidden depths, so it’s great to see him return once more.

Previously, he’s appeared in two of Big Finish’s monthly Torchwood releases – specifically, Ghost Mission and Goodbye Picadilly – as well as the box set Outbreak. His inclusion into series six is an exciting one. Particularly as it means he’ll be up against Yvonne Hartman.
