Of late, Disney has been remaking its classic animated movies to the tune of kerjillions of dollars in profit. Did you know that the 2017 Beauty and the Beast remake with Emma Watson is the fourteenth highest-grossing movie in history? It is, so it comes as no surprise that Disney is readying another live-action redo: Aladdin, the 1992 classic about a boy, his money, his carpet, and a genie who loves pop culture references. Check out the newest trailer:

That’s Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, but obviously Will Smith is the one who pulls focus as the Genie. Robin Williams’ original performance is famous for its sky-high energy. Will Smith be able to equal it?

Whether he can or not, Disney is leaning hard into this live-action remake thing, with live-action versions of DumboThe Lion KingLady and the Tramp, and Mulan already having release dates. (Plus Maleficent 2, if that counts.) Beyond that, the House of Mouse is readying remakes of Pinocchio, The Hunchback of Notre DameLilo & Stitch, and The Little Mermaid. (Plus a movie called Cruella, if that counts.)

Basically, the company is ready to sell all the stuff you loved as a child (and the stuff your parents loved as a child, and the stuff their parents loved as a child) back to you, but this time more realistic-looking. Today’s kids have a lotta options.
