Lena Headey on season 8: “I think people will be surprised at every turn”
Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) has been making the rounds, as of late, promoting her new film Fighting With My Family, in which she plays the mother of a real-life family of wrestlers, and whose daughter goes on to become WWE Divas Champion, Paige. ET Online caught up with her, and of course, asked about the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones.
When asked if she finds it annoying that everyone wants to know how the show ends, Headey said: “It’s kind of great.”
"It’s part of the success, you know, being consumed with it and what’s happening. I think it’s just frustrating when you do interviews for Thrones and actually can’t say anything."
And when it comes to revealing spoilers for the show, over the past seven, going on eight seasons, Heady has only slipped up once. “I’ve drunkenly done it to someone and then the next day, hunted them down and made them sign in blood not to say anything,” she said.

On a show where literally no character is safe, Headey has often wondered if each new season would be her last. “Yeah, I think I had many fantasies about how Cersei would — if she were to — die,” she said. “But I think it was, every year, anyone’s lying if they say they didn’t kind of rush to the end of each script and go, “Oh, PHEW!”
But now that she has made it to the final season, what can fans expect from not only her character, but the show as a whole?
"I think people will be surprised at every turn this season."
Fighting With My Family hits theaters on February 22, and of course, Game of Thrones season 8 makes its debut on April 14.
