Briesewitz will join brothers/writers Mike P. and Paul T. Clarkson and showrunner Rafe Judkins on a behind-the-scenes team for what we hope will make a worthy adaptation of a beloved story.
Another #WoTWednesday that’s not at all on Wednesday, but is worth the 6-day wait. Welcoming Uta Briesewitz to the team! She’s incredible and visionary and can pronounce Nynaeve like she was born to it. https://t.co/XXMqH2dESq

Production on the show is set to start in September. The synopsis reads thus:
"Set in a sprawling world where magic exists but can only be used by women, the story follows Moiraine, a member of the shadowy and influential all-female organization the Aes Sedai, as she embarks on a dangerous journey with five young men and women. Moiraine’s interest in these five lies in the fact that she believes one of them might be the reincarnation of an incredibly powerful individual who prophecies say will either save humanity or destroy it."
Fans of the books would do well to follow Rafe Judkins’ Twitter account. He’s known to post updates, including snippets of scripts:
For #wotwednesday this week, I’ll do something scandalous and give you an actual snippet from the first script of one of those iconic scenes that simply must exist. Introducing THREE key characters ;) pic.twitter.com/uS9pKzwlsJ
