The Twilight Zone reboot just got its first official trailer and it is epic. Honestly, it’s hard to conjure up the feelings I’m experiencing right now. Ever since I can remember, watching and re-watching episodes of The Twilight Zone has been a longstanding tradition in my house. And after watching this trailer, I have goosebumps! And there couldn’t be a better person to carry on Rod Serling’s hosting duties than Jordan Peele:

There is a ton to like and analyze about this trailer, as SyFy Wire points out. Peele’s soothing voice sets the vibe. Viewers are treated to glimpses of episodes to come, and can we talk about the amazing cast? Just in the trailer alone, we’ve got Adam Scott, Sanaa Lathan, Greg Kinnear, Tracy Morgan, Kumail Nanjiani, John Cho and probably a bunch of others I missed. Peele seems to be drafting a lot of people from the world of comedy, which makes sense since he’s a comedian himself, but this is clearly not a comedy show.

CBS All Access will air the first two episodes of the show on April 1 (or at least we hope so — it is April Fool’s Day). Starting April 11, new episodes will air weekly.

The trailer doesn’t give much away, but we certainly see a lot of Park and Recreation’s  Adam Scott! He’ll be starring in a remake of William Shatner’s famous Twilight Zone episode, “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet,” so he’s probably the “there’s a monster on the wing of the plane!” guy. This is going to be great!

If, for any reason at all, you’ve never heard of The Twilight Zone, the show originally aired on CBS between 1959-1964 and featured profoundly eerie sci-fi stories way beyond their time. Black Mirror is basically the modern-day version of The Twilight Zone. If you’re interested in catching up, CBS All Access has all the O.G. episodes available.
