Emilia Clarke stepped out at the 91st Academy Awards last night, looking fantastic in a pale purple gown drowning in swarovski crystals. Ryan Seacrest hit her up on the red carpet for E! and asked her what the reaction will be the final episode of Game of Thrones. Her answer? “Shock.”

“It’s going to be huge, that much everyone needs to know,” Clarke said. “It took us a very long time to shoot this one for a very good reason. But I think there’s going to be some things…I know there’s going to be some things in this last season that will shock people.”

What exactly does she mean. We’ve still got a couple months to wait before we find out, but the more we hear, the more confident we are that Game of Thrones is gearing up for a finish for a the ages. Bring it on.

Seacrest also asked Clarke if she’d taken anything home from the set. Apparently, it wasn’t as easy as she would have liked.

"I’m not going to lie. I’m just like a goody two shoes. Everyone was watching me all the time! I tried to throw some things under the wig, hide them in my bag, nothing!"

I’m sure they’ll send her something if she requests it? A baby dragon prop, perhaps? Or one of Dany’s wigs?

There’s already fan art of her in that dress floating around, by the way:

And that wasn’t the only outfit Clarke wore that night. She changed into a red poofy-sleeved number for the Vanity Fair Oscar party:

Clarke wasn’t actually up for an Academy Award last night herself, but she was one of the presenters. Her offer to lend Ruth Bader Ginsburg Daenerys’ dragons was one of the more memorable bon mots of the night:

Joining her on the red carpet was fellow Game of Thrones slum Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo), who’s now Hollywood royalty thanks to his successful turn as Aquaman.

Love the clutch.

Anyway, khal and khaleesi reunited at the awards show, both by themselves…

…and with Momoa’s wife Lisa Bonet:

And Momoa had his own charming moment onstage when he presented the award for Best Documentary Feature alongside Helen Mirren:

Congratulations to all the winners! We’re sure we’ll see a couple Game of Thrones alums get their own statues in due time.
