The Expanse gets a few new cast members for season 4
By Dan Selcke
The Expanse is Game of Thrones in space, a twisty sci-fi thriller with various characters jockeying for power and solving mysteries, spread out across the galaxy. It’s even based on a series of novels co-written by Ty Franck, former assistant to Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin. The show ran for three seasons of SyFy before it got the axe, but Amazon picked it up and is debuting a fourth season later this year. What can we expect from it?

I don’t know. I haven’t seen it. Why would you ask that? However, one thing we can say for certain is that there’ll be some new blood. Deadline reports that a trio of actors — Rosa Gilmore, Keon Alexander and Jess Salgueiro — are ready to come aboard.
Deadline also has some character descriptions. Gilmore, a veteran of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, plays Dr. Lucia Mazur, a Belter refugee who’s staked a claim on a new Earth-like planet. Alexander, lately of Tyrant on FX, plays “a wily and charismatic Belter faction leader.” Finally, Salgueiro plays “a cynical corporate security officer.”
They all sound like they’ll fit in just fine with The Expanse’s cast of planet-hopping detectives and working stiffs. We don’t know when exactly season 4 will drop, but with any luck, this will be the year the show finally blows up.
