Nikolaj Coster-Waldau recorded himself watching the new Game of Thrones trailer—It’s adorable

HBO released a new trailer for the final season of Game of Thrones. Did you hear? It’s here:

Obviously, the internet promptly went to pieces as they watched it over and over. That proudly includes us. A bunch of the cast members are exited, as well, gleefully posting the trailer to their Twitter and Instagram accounts. But Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) went one step further and recorded himself watching the trailer. It is adorable. Let’s watch it now:

He said the line along with Jaime! “Kiss!” “Arya!” “Come on, Jon!” He definitely knows the characters’ names. This is precious.

Coster-Waldau also notes that this is “the final trailer.” If you’re literal-minded, you could take that to mean that this is the last trailer for Game of Thrones we’ll ever get, and that HBO won’t be leasing follow-up trailers as it’s done in the past. I don’t think we can take anything definitive from that, though. Without more, I think he just means that it’s a trailer for the final season, which it is, and that’s upsetting enough.
