We visit the Game of Thrones pop-up bar in Chicago

The final season of Game of Thrones is around the corner, and everyone is getting ready. Chicago bar Replay Lincoln Park may be going a bit further than most. They’ve outfitted the place with a king’s ransom of Game of Thrones props, maps and accoutrements. FanSided happens to be located in Chicago, so we thought we’d swing by and have a look:
If I remember one thing from the experience, it’s that someone thought to put a dictionary next to the cardboard cutout of Davos Seaworth. They do their research here. And the drinks went down smooth.
The Replay pop-up bar is open for a number of weeks yet. If you’re so inclined, it’s located at 2833 N Sheffield Ave. With all the elaborate set dressing, there will be no better place to watch the final six episodes of the show; the vibe will doubtlessly be electric, and not just because there’s alcohol involved. The Replay honestly put more effort into the place than I was expecting. I thought maybe there’d be a room in the back with a few house banners on the wall, but from the Iron Throne to the Tyrell garden to the bar fashioned to look like the Wall, they went all out on this.
