Kit Harington will host Saturday Night Live in April

The final season of Game of Thrones kicks off on Sunday, April 14. A week before that, on Saturday, April 6, Kit Harington will promote the new episodes by hosting Saturday Night Live, Variety reports.

Surprisingly, Harington has never been on SNL, although several of his castmates have. It’ll be a long while before I forget Peter Dinklage’s Space Pants sketch:
Still, Harington has shown that he has comic chops. Remember him in the Game of Thrones musical, the one Coldplay put together for Red Nose Day? He’ll do fine:
Y’know, Emilia Clarke wouldn’t be a bad choice for host, either. She’s a well-known goofball.
In any case, I’ll bet good money we’ll see a few familiar faces pop up during Harington’s episode. We can also expect plenty of Game of Thrones sketches, something SNL has done even without GoT cast members around. Harington may never have been on the show, but Jon Snow has:
The musical guest will be Sara Bareilles, another SNL newbie. What do you bet she’ll sing her new single, “Armor.” The synergy is just too perfect:
It should be a good time! And just eight days after watching Harington act the fool on Saturday Night Live, we can watch him act the dour savior of humanity on Game of Thrones. April is gonna be fun.
