Star Wars: Episode IX will close out the story of the Skywalker family once and for all. After decades of following characters like Luke, Leia, Anakin and now Kylo Ren, it’s almost time to say goodbye. In an interview with Today, Oscar Isaac, who plays pilot Poe Dameron, confirmed that Episode IX “is the end of the entire Skywalker saga.” It’s almost time to move on…to the thousands of other Star Wars movies in our future.

Isaac couldn’t spill too many details about the upcoming movie, of course, but he did reflect on what wrapping up the iconic saga means to him:

"Nine stories. This is the culmination of the thing. What J.J. has done, and the entire Lucasfilm team is incredibly fulfilling. It’s also special for us because you get to learn a lot more new things about these characters."

Now, let’s not jump to any conclusions and start theorizing who will die and who will survive. Just because the stories will no longer follow the Skywalker family doesn’t necessarily mean each and every member of that family will die, just that they won’t be a big part of future movies, if they have a part at all.

Also, there are plenty of characters who aren’t Skywalkers knocking around the Star Wars universe these days, including our current main trio: Isaac’s Poe, Daisy Ridley’s Rey and John Boyega’s Finn. Who’s to say they couldn’t come back? Although we should probably find out the full extent of Ray’s origins. Watch this space.

The official subtitle for Episode IX has not yet been revealed, but it’s likely that’ll come out at the Star Wars Celebration next month in Chicago. Whatever it ends up being, get ready to say goodbye — one way or another — to these beloved characters.

Episode IX hits theaters on December 20.
