HBO is hiding Iron Thrones around the world to promote season 8

HBO is doing some interesting stuff to get the word out about Game of Thrones ahead of the show’s eighth and final season. With Create for the Throne, it hired artists from around the world to put their stamp on iconic props from the series. With Bleed for the Throne, it partnered with the American Red Cross to get fans to give blood. Now, with Quest for the Throne, it’s hidden six Iron Throne around the globe and challenged fans to find them.

The first of the six is hidden in this mysterious forest:
Anybody recognize anything? If not, maybe HBO’s trio of 360-degree YouTube videos can help, one of the Throne at dawn, one at dusk, and one during the day:
It seems like a throne plopped in the middle of a random forest would be impossible to find, but if I’ve learned anything about fans over the years, it’s that they’re incredibly resourceful. I will bet money that someone somewhere will be able to look at these videos and puzzle out the location of the throne, and if not, some hikers will stumble upon it and be very confused.
