When it comes to highly anticipated TV, right now the lion’s share of attention might be on the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, but Netflix isn’t lying idly by. This morning, the streaming giant dropped a trailer for the third season of its flagship show Stranger Things. Watch below, and rock out to The Who’s “Teenage Wasteland”. Crank up the speakers!
Was Netflix hinting at the trailer drop with this cryptic message yesterday? Seems likely. Either way, holy cow Netflix upped the special effects budget.
We have so many questions. Who is Sheriff Hopper (David Harbour) having dinner with? What in the hell is that blob monster? Look for Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) to square off with it. How cool was it to see Eleven use her powers to surprise Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo)?

We’ve already learned the titles of each of the eight episodes in season 3. Read together with this trailer, perhaps we can fill in more pieces of the puzzle. If we have any complaints, it’s that there wasn’t enough Steve (Joe Keery). We need more Steve, even if he is in that embarrassing uniform now!
But ultimately it was great to see the whole gang back together again, although it seems they might be experiencing some growing pains. The choice of “Teenage Wasteland” wasn’t accidental.
