10 questions Game of Thrones season 8 needs to answer
By Corey Smith
Game of Thrones is coming to an end. That’s a hard sentence to type, but it’s a reality all the same. Before our favorite show comes to a close, we have a few questions we need answered in the final stretch. Game of Thrones has spent seven seasons building towards a climax, but it’s kept some of his most important cards close to the chest. With the end nearly here, it’s time to lay them on the table.
How will Jon and Daenerys deal with their shared heritage? Who will sit the Iron Throne? And just what the hell is the Night King’s problem, anyway? We have questions, HBO has answers. Of course, the show probably isn’t going to lay them out in a neat little PowerPoint presentation, but we’ve gotta have something! That said, we can respect the show if it doesn’t answer every question we have — some ambiguity is good for debate — but we’ll need enough to leave the table satisfied.
With a show as sprawling as Game of Thrones, not all of our questions will be as germane to the overall plot as others, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t important. It’s a sign of the show’s greatness that we can care just as much about whether Bronn finally gets his castle as we do about who sits the Iron Throne. We’re invested.
So let’s get to it. What questions do we need this show to answer before the final curtain falls? And which one would prefer it not? Read on!
