But first let’s set the scene. Before you stomp a red carpet, there’s the dressing the primping and the teasing to be done:

But remember, you’re here to have fun:

The crowd clamors for royalty:

And lo, the king arrives:

"I tried my best to honor this sub and my king from freefolk"

And also Lady Gaga was there, because this event includes nobility of all kinds:

Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) high fives everyone:

Okay, now to the interviews! Here’s Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) discussing the evolving role of women on the show:

We all know that Jon and Arya will reunite in season 8.

Time for a quick lightening round! Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont), Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger), Jerome Flynn (Bronn) and Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) talk about what being on the show has meant to them:

“[Season 8 is] mindblowing and horrible and beautiful,” says Hivju. Sign me up.

Too many interviews? Let’s refresh with a Lannister dance break:

Why am I so terrified by Charles Dance’s smile?

Okay, on with the interviews! Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) had plenty to say about season 8 and where she goes from here:

Who does Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) want on the Iron Throne? Do you even have to ask?

Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy) tells us about the troubles you an have when you don’t read the scripts all the way through:

Who’s the ultimate baddie in Thrones? “Cersei.” No hesitation.

Time for another pose break!

Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) talks about her favorite female character:

This one is kind of hard to hear, but I’m pretty sure Daniel Portman is talking about what makes Podrick Payne stand out:

Speaking as one of the few people of color in the cast, Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) talks about inclusivity in entertainment:

Another pose down, this time starring the Stark sisters!

Kristian Nairn (Hodor), who’s wearing the world’s coolest jacket, talks about his vision for a happy ending:

Next, here’s Hivju’s emphatic description of how he plans to watch the first episode:

That seems like a good segue into our final pose break:

And that’s the red carpet. All that’s left was the party:

Not long now, everyone!
