Doctor Who: Jenna Coleman stole a piece of the TARDIS set

During an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, Jenna Coleman revealed exactly what she stole from the TARDIS set on Doctor Who…

It’s been several years since Jenna Coleman played Clara Oswald in Doctor Who, with her final episode Hell Bent broadcast in 2015. (She also briefly returned for a cameo in Peter Capaldi’s final episode, Twice Upon a Time.)

But of course, even with her current role playing the lead in the TV series Victoria, she’s still getting asked about her time as the Doctor’s companion.

One such question came up recently on The Jonathan Ross Show. When asked if she “kept any mementos” from the series, her response was pretty perfect:

"I stole quite a lot, actually."

She then went on to clarify that she stole the items with help from someone “in the props department”. (Somehow, I imagine the BBC will be keeping a closer eye on that department in future.) And it has to be said, what she stole was pretty impressive:

"I stole a piece of Tardis. A proper Gallifreyan full on piece under my jumper."

That’ll impress the guests!

She then went on to clarify that she’s got it stored away in her attic currently, so it’s not exactly something that she can impress the guests with. But fortunately, she does have something else on display:

"I’ve also got the neon sign of the police box… and I’ve got that in my dining room and it lights up."

That sounds like a considerably impressive way to grab your guests’ attention! I’m sure many of us are envious of Coleman right now (I know I am).

Still, she did work on Doctor Who for over two and a half series, and she clearly had quite the special time on the show. So I don’t think any of us could blame her for keeping a memento from her time on it. (Even if they are considerably major mementos!)

If you could steal anything from Doctor Who, what would it be? What would you keep as a memento? And would you really reveal you’d stolen it on a talk show? Let us know in the comments below.
