There are a lot of unanswered questions ahead of the Game of Thrones season 8 premiere this weekend. For example: how will Sansa Sansa react to Jon Snow bringing home the Mother of Dragons? Star Sophie Turner spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the final season and what role Sansa will play:

"Sansa this season is very much enjoying becoming a leader in her own right and the leader of Winterfell, and this year there are certain challenges of people who come into her life that threaten that. She has to go behind a few backs and risks tearing apart her family."

So does this mean Sansa is going to go up against Dany and risk harming her brother’s relationship with the dragon queen? We’ve already gotten hints that Sansa and Daenerys don’t immediately hit it off, but how far will it go?

“Her relationship with Jon is struggling because he’s so clearly in love with Daenerys and believes in her completely,” Turner continued. “Sansa thinks she’s power-hungry and not the rightful queen. There’s a huge amount of fighting between Sansa and Jon.”

Sibling rivalry is about to get out of control, folks.

Will Sansa be impressed by Dany’s dragons? According to Turner, not initially. “She’s not happy because she’s going to have to feed these dragons. They require a lot of food and they have limited resources.” That reminds us of this shot from the trailer, of Drogon and Rhaegal in front of a pile of animal corpses. As for how she feels about the show ending, Turner hasn’t process it fully yet:

"I don’t think it’s hit me at all. I don’t think it will hit me until summer comes around and we’re supposed to be filming again and we won’t be going to Belfast. I’ve really been just enjoying time off. I’ve been taking months off to just do nothing, and that’s been healing."

We all know that Turner and Maisie Williams (Arya) have become the best of friends over the years, and while they may no longer be on the series together, they both have bright futures in Hollywood. Turner is fairly certain they’ll work together again at some point, but it will be difficult for them to leave their Game of Thrones characters behind. “The saddest part is I don’t get to be Sansa, she doesn’t get to be Arya, and we don’t get to interact on that level — which is sad because their relationship is a big part of who Maisie and I are.”

Did you know the Game of Thrones cast members, both men and women, sometimes weren’t allowed to wash their hair? During Sansa’s time as Ramsay’s prisoner in Winterfell, Turner wasn’t allowed to touch her hair, with the intent that it remain greasy and dirty. But now that the show is over, she’s free to wash to her heart’s content. “[I]t is the most amazing feeling after you go a week while working and you have fake snow, and mud, and horse sh—, and all these disgusting things in your hair,” she said. “It’s the world’s greatest feeling to have a shower.”
