So, you’ve seen Game of Thrones season 8, episode 1, “Winterfell,” and you’ve got so many thoughts swirling around in your head, but you’re not sure where to start. Well, how about at the beginning! HBO has just released the brand new Game of Thrones intro, so let’s get comfortable and watch it a couple hundred times.

Right off the bat, the astrolabe (that’s what it’s called, don’t blame me) has what appears to be a new golden figure atop a dragon. It looks like the figure is the Night King, but I could be wrong. Next, we move to the gaping hole in the Wall with an ice flow that I’m sure represents the army of the dead flowing past Last Hearth, the ancient seat of House Umber.

The other major differences in this intro are how detailed each castle is. For the first time in the show’s history, we get to see the inner workings of the map, like the dragon skulls in the bottom of the Red Keep. That was neat to see, and makes me wish they had changed up the intro a couple of seasons back.
