Go behind the scenes of “Winterfell” with HBO’s Game Revealed doc

It looks like HBO is continuing to to produce its Game Revealed series of mini-documentaries about each new episode of Game of Thrones. Watch the latest episode, which delves into the season 8 premiere, simply titled “Winterfell,” below:

Let’s hit some of the highlights:

• I liked director David Nutter comparing himself to the little boy at the beginning, looking at what’s happening after a few years away; the last episode he directed was “Mother’s Mercy,” the season 5 finale.
• Sophie Turner: “Daenerys arrives, and immediately Sansa wants to make it very clear that she runs this s**t.” Nutter’s note to Turner: “You have to remember one thing: this is your house.”
• That was Rob McElhenney from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia as one of the Ironborn guys! The special relationship continues.
• We get some footage of George Lucas interacting with the cast members on set. Sure.
• “The audience just wants to see you breathe,” says Nutter. Indeed, this episode took its time with the character beats.
• I liked Maisie Williams’ comments about Arya’s interactions with Gendry: “I think for Arya it’s remembering who she was before.” I’m very interested to see how Arya balances the grudges that have become such a big part of her life with her reconnecting with her loved ones.
• A stunt guy played young Ned Umber during that horrific scene where Beric set his body on fire.
• And speaking of movie magic, when Jon and Dany make out after their dragon ride, the special effects department added that waterfall behind them! Special effects everywhere.
• Well, there’s no forgetting Kit Harington’s story about how the dragon rig almost tore his ball off, is there?
