The force is strong with Star Wars fans. Between movies, upcoming TV shows, and merch beyond counting, Star Wars fans have got it all. But the ultimate fan experience will blow all of this out of the water: Star Wars Land.
And by that we mean the Galaxy’s Edge Star Wars theme park in Disneyley in Anaheim, California. We’ve a month away from the opening and Disney is having to make some adjustments in preparation for the massive crowds.
According to Fortune, hotels are selling out like crazy ahead of the opening, with prices going as high as $763/night for opening day. The hype is so real that, for the first time ever, Disney is requiring guests to make reservations ahead of time. From May 31 to June 23, you can only go into the Galaxy’s Edge park if you’re expected. Guests at the company’s own hotels are given a specific time and have guaranteed admittance. For the rest of us, we can go to Disneyland.com and make a reservation starting May 2 at 10 a.m. PST.
Galaxy’s Edge will open at Disneyland in California on May 31, with another version of the park opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida on August 29. If you don’t currently have a reservation for the May 31 opening, be advised that Disney is working diligently to prevent any form of scalping. And they’re doing what they can to work overtime to ensure the waiting experience is a pleasant one.
Mark your calendars, fans! You’re about to ride the Millenium Falcon (eventually).
