To raise money for charity, Emilia Clarke is joining forces with Omaze in the funniest of ways. To spread the word, Clarke dressed up as Jon Snow and hit the streets of Times Square and approached random people. Check it out:
Emilia Clarke is a beautiful soul inside and out, and if you have followed her on social media over the years, you’re aware she’s an advocate for all sorts of charities, including her own, SameYou. This organization helps “to raise funds and help increase neuro-rehabilitation access after brain injury and stroke.” That’s what the Omaze promotion is for. You can bid money here, with one lucky fan getting to watch the final episode of Game of Thrones with the Mother of Dragons herself in a private screening, plus airfare and four-star accommodations.
I’m starting to realize that the Game of Thrones cast are good souls all around. Below, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) talks about his work with the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) bringing attention to the strides the being made in the African nation of Rwanda:
Simply amazing. Bravo, Nikolaj! The world could use more people like you.
With Game of Thrones ending, many of the cast members are moving onto other projects. I can’t imagine the shift from a show like this to basically anything else, but you gotta do what you gotta do. In an interview with The Mirror, Jerome Flynn (Ser Bronn) talked about his first post-Thrones role: He’ll be playing a cowboy in Amazon’s TV adaptation of Stephen King’s Dark Tower novels. “I’ve always said I’d like to play a cowboy – and now one has come along. I’m excited for that.”
Meanwhile, Bella Ramsey, aka the fiesty Lyanna Mormont, is starring in a sci-fi short film called Zero. Watch the trailer:
Spooky.
So everyone’s thinking about the end of Game of Thrones, which is exciting but also a little sad. Let’s end on a bit of nostalgia with a photo of Richard Madden (Robb Stark), Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) after their first reading of the Game of Thrones series premiere almost a decade ago:
Oh, how time flies.
