We’re typing this through our tears, as “The Long Night” has just ended. Tears of joy and tears of pain, but tears nonetheless. After a complete roller coaster of an episode, we aren’t done yet. Next week’s episode is on deck, and we’re in the endgame now. Here’s the preview trailer for Episode 804, which we’ll call “Aftermath” for now.

We didn’t see Cersei or King’s Landing in “The Long Night,” but it seems we’re going to get a heavy dose of intrigue in the capital. And also possible a love connection? Although there was a lot going on in this preview, Euron dropping down to one knee and proposing to Cersei stood out. Will the queen accept the lord of the Iron Fleet’s proposal? Next week on Game of Thrones!

Kidding aside, Daenerys and Jon appear to be picking up the pieces in the wake of the Night King’s defeat. Winterfell was smashed to pieces by the Night King and his forces, but will our heroes stay there? Or are they immediately off to King’s Landing? What sort of shape are the Stark and Targaryen forces in anyways? We have so many questions!

Next week’s episode will also clock in at over an hour and twenty minutes, so we should have plenty of time to check in with each and every survivor, and we get glimpses of that here. Personally it was good to see both Daenerys’ dragons ever so briefly in the trailer. Now, what about Ghost? We’ll find out next! (Maybe.)
