With the Night King dead and winter come and gone, Game of Thrones fans are more curious than ever to find out how this show ends. Here to help…kind of…is John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), who stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to say what he could about where this is all going. Take a look:
“Well, I thought I knew how it was gonna end, and we definitely shot an ending, I can tell you that,” he begins, helpfully. “But I read an interview with our showrunners not so long ago when they said, ‘The actors think they know how it’s gonna end,’ so actor’s paranoia instantly kicks in. You think, ‘What does that mean?'”
"I don’t know what I know is true. I may ultimately know, but I’m not gonna know that I know until I know that I know."
So…Sam knows nothing? I’ll just stick to that; nice and familiar.
I also enjoyed Ellen saying what more than a few fans have been thinking since “The Long Night,” the season’s big battle episode, aired this past Sunday. “I don’t think you should have survived,” Ellen says. “I don’t know how you survived that. There was people dying all around you, and somehow you survived the entire thing.”
She also starts to go into criticisms that the episode was too dark, but pulls back to talk about how many extras there were. This is a talk show, after all. Keep it light!
