It’s time for another round of “The Game Revealed,” the docuseries where HBO dives into the making of the most recent episode of Game of Thrones. Today’s subject? The complex “The Last of the Starks,” which featured lengthy scenes of conversation together with action bombast. Watch below!

The cast and crew cover a lot of ground here, from the opening funeral scene (Kit Harington: “I knew the show was over when I saw Bran running past me. Well, it’s gotta be over if Bran’s started to walk again.”) to the feast scene (which was apparently the first thing they shot for the season; also showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are hidden away in there somewhere) to Missandei’s execution. Easily the most eyebrow-raising bit of info is that they filmed Nathalie Emmanuel’s part of that scene separately and inserted her digitally later, so passionate were they about not giving away the game.

The crew also says that Qyburn redesigned his scorpions to be more effective between seasons, which goes a little way towards explaining how Euron was able to take down Rhaegal as easily as he did, but not how Dany didn’t spot his ships from her vantage point way up on her dragon.
