I don’t mean to be down too much on “The Last of the Starks”; the episode featured some incredibly powerful dramatic scenes and emotional moments, and I enjoyed it. But while some pieces of the narrative jigsaw puzzle fit together nicely, this installment also suffers from “in-betweener episode” story mechanics, where too much time has to be spent on characters hooking up and parting ways, storyline realignment and the landscape shifting to a new location (King’s Landing).
What follows are my immediate reactions to “The Last of the Starks,” delivered with raw emotion and little reflection.
