The penultimate episode of the season and the series is upon us, Game of Thrones fans. And while the good news is that Cersei might finally get hers, the bad news is we only have two more episodes to go before the show is gone forever. But before we go, we’ve got one last battle to take care of: the Battle for King’s Landing. Check out the preview trailer below!

Is that the first time we’ve seen Euron Greyjoy worried? Not-Jack Sparrow always seems so confident.

Although we catch glimpses of most of the key players, this trailer is sparse on details. Here’s we know for sure:

  • Start Time: May 12, 2019, 9:00 p.m. EST
  • TV Info: HBO
  • Episode: Season 8, Episode 5, “No Title Yet”
  • Writers: David Benioff and Dan Weiss
  • Director: Miguel Sapochnik
  • Run time: 78 Minutes

Cersei is once again looking smug as she stares out at her city. She certainly appears confident, and why wouldn’t she be? Not-Jack Sparrow has ships with cloaking devices and King’s Landing is fortified by a ring of scorpions on the walls, with the Golden Company in reserve. And she has the Mountain.

Jon and the forces of the North have arrived in King’s Landing, looking weary and not at all excited about for what’s about to go down. Also, does it look like someone might have been digitally removed from the right of Tyrion?

I hate the south.

Okay, we’re legit worried about Daenerys’ state of mind in this photo. Just look at the poor woman’s hair! We haven’t seen Dany look so disheveled since she was captured by the Dothraki in season 6. But if you’d lost your dragons and half your friends, you probably wouldn’t want comb your hair either.

The question becomes, though: Is Dany angry or mad? The answer could have big repercussions on the finale.

Gotta say, I’m looking forward to finally see the Golden Company in battle. These guys look super formidable and should put up quite the fight. With Miguel Sapochnik directing (“Battle of the Bastards,” “The Long Night”) and an hour plus run time, you know we’re in for something memorable. We might only have two episodes to go, but we’re guessing they won’t be boring. More than a few bodies will drop this week, with the finale to pick up the pieces. This is it, Thrones fans! The end is nigh!
