Netflix is turning more of its original series into video games

Netflix has some interesting plans to reveal ahead of this year’s E3 convention, a yearly trade show about all things video games. We already have a game based on Stranger Things season 3 to look forward to, but that may just be the beginning.

Take a look at this painfully staged Twitter conversation between @E3 and @NXOnNetflix, Netflix’s Twitter account dedicated to all things sci-fi and fantasy, and see what you think:

This conversation also revealed that there will be a panel at E3 called Bringing Your Favorite Shows to Life: Developing Netflix Originals into Video Games. So that pretty much clinches it.

Netflix didn’t give us any hints as to which original shows might be getting the video game treatment, but we can certainly speculate, can’t we? How cool would it be to have an Ozark shooter where you play as the Byrde against their enemies in the drug business? Or how about an Orange is the New Black dating simulator? I’m totally down for a Black Mirror-themed game! In fact, can they just give us the series version of Bandersnatch to play? That would be absolutely amazing.

Given the number of Netflix Originals out there, there are limitless possibilities. I vote for a Bojack Horseman game in which we can choose to play as a human or an animal and then make bad life decisions.

Hopefully, we’ll learn what Netflix has in store for us soon, because our minds are already racing with a million ideas. You know, like a Narcos videogame where we get to be Pablo Escobar ruling over his drug empire, or a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina where we can choose to be a witch, warlock, or mortal.

See? It’s bad. E3 kicks off June 11.
