Rick and Morty season 4 has a premiere date
By Dan Selcke
Rick and Morty, Adult Swim’s almost mainstream hit about an amoral scientist going on galaxy-spanning adventures with his nervous grandson, has been off the air since October of 2017, despite being one of the most popular shows on the network. After the third season ended, Adult Swim woke up, realized it had a hit on its hand, and ordered a whopping 70 more episodes. So when the show does come back, the waits between seasons should be fewer and farther between.
And when will that be? WarnerMedia played this video during its recent upfronts presentation:
Alright, so Rick and Morty season 4 will kick off this November. Everyone get schwifty or something.

Rick and Morty has distinguished itself in two main ways: 1) It’s an extremely inventive, if kind of nihilistic, science fiction show that packs a ton of jokes into every square inch of screentime, and 2) Some of its fans have shown themselves to be…just the worst, most notably when a bunch of them melted down after McDonalds restaurants across the country didn’t stock enough Szechuan sauce for the liking.
Szechuan sauce once featured heavily in an episode of the show and McDonalds was doing a promotion. It was a whole thing.
But that was then. Those fans are two years older and a bunch of public shaming wiser, so hopefully there won’t be any repeats of that sort of thing when the show returns.
