Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) was “confused” by the Game of Thrones finale

Now that Game of Thrones has ended forever, former cast members are sounding off about the series finale. And if you think the fans were the only ones who had strong feelings about how it all went down, think again.

Charles Dance, who played Tywin Lannister for the first four seasons, sat down with the hosts of Good Morning Britain to talk about his upcoming film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and was asked how he felt about the Thrones series finale. “I was confused,” he said.

“I’ve watched as much as I can because there are characters like Daenerys, that her [Emilia Clarke] character and my character never met,” Dance said. “We’d only meet at press junkets and things so I wanted to know what was happening to these people.”

"I saw the last series, and then we come to the big last series and got to the very end, and I thought, ‘Hmm, okay…there’s little Arya, she’s going off on a cruise somewhere, poor Jon’s got back up North beyond the Wall, and then there’s Tyrion and all the people left alive are sat around the table ‘So what are we going to do now? Should we have a cup of tea?’ I thought ‘Ah I don’t know.’"

If Tywin were at that Small Council meeting, the Red Keep would already be fully repaired.

Moving on, as of Thursday, Richard Madden (Robb Stark) hadn’t seen the series finale, but it had been spoiled for him, as he told the hosts of Good Morning America:

Was Madden surprised Bran became the King of the Six Kingdoms? “Yeah, I’m totally surprised,” he said. “I’ll have to watch it now and see how he ended up there.”

Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) was not pleased at all with Jon Snow killing Daenerys. Beware: this clip is a bit NSFW.

If I were Kit Harington, I’d go into witness protection ASAP.

Lord Commander Jeor Mormont (James Cosmo) was just happy to be part of a worldwide phenomenon.

Miltos Yerolemou‏ (Syrio Forel) also had kind words for the show.

Yerolemou also retweeted Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell), who seemed a bit defensive about the backlash online:

For what it’s worth — and I really don’t know if it’s much — Seinfeld star Jason Alexander, who knows something about controversial finales to popular shows, stands with the Game of Thrones crew.

Here’s Kerry Ingram (Shireen Baratheon) sharing her favorite Game of Thrones moment:

Naturally, the current cast members have been reacting all over the place, too. Head here to see what they had to say!
