Page Six reports that Game of Thrones star Kit Harington (Jon Snow) has checked into rehab to receive treatment for stress, exhaustion and alcohol use.

According to Page Six, Harington has been in a facility for roughly a month, checking in weeks before the airing of the Game of Thrones series finale last Sunday, May 19. According to a source, he’s doing well “and appears to be very focused on his health and wellness.” Wife Rose Leslie — whom Harington met on the set of Thrones, where she played Ygritte — is reportedly being “extremely supportive.”

UPDATE: Harington’s publicist gave an official statement to Variety:

"Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues."

Page Six has more details about the where and the why. I’d like to wish Harington a speedy recovery, and wish his family the best. I’ve really enjoyed watching Harington’s work over the years and I’m sure Game of Thrones fans everywhere are pulling for him.
