Stranger Things 3 finale is “the most moving thing we’ve ever shot”

We’re just over a month away from the premiere of Stranger Things season 3 on Netflix, and David Harbour (Sheriff Jim Hopper) is teasing an “unexpected” and “moving” finale.

Digital Spy talked to Harbour at the MCM Comic Con in London this past weekend, and he didn’t pull any punches. “Millie [Bobby Brown] (Eleven) is growing up and I think that’s the terrifying thing for Hopper,” he said. “He doesn’t like the idea of his baby daughter hanging out with boys. So the season starts with him a little bit uncomfortable.”

See, Hopper? Nothing to see there.

By the end of season 2, the telekinetic Eleven was closer than ever young Hawkins townie Mike (Finn Wolfhard), which is something Pappa Hopper is just going to have to deal with. “His daughter is becoming a teenager and beginning to find herself, so that’s scarier for Hopper than any Demogorgon creature that he’s going to have to deal with,” Harbour said.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, Stranger Things season 3 will indeed be full of new frontiers for the characters. I mean, the clip with the pool alone…

But how will all these teenage hormones affect the season 3 finale? “You get to see a lot of that throughout the season and it’s very unexpected what happens in the end and it’s very, very moving,” Harbour said “I think episode eight is the most moving thing we’ve ever shot.”

Stranger Things season 3 kicks off on July 4. Prepare yourselves now.
