Final Stranger Things season 3 trailer teases new, returning villains

It’s been almost two years since we were blessed with a new season of Stranger Things, but that’s all about to change as season 3 is nearly upon us. To help get us hyped (like we weren’t already) for the return of Mike, Eleven, our beloved Steve and all the rest, Netflix has dropped one last ultra-spooky trailer for the new season before it lands on July 4. Check it out:

As always, Stranger Things will be gleefully dripping in ’80s nostalgia, and nothing says 1985 like the Starcourt Mall, which looks like it will be the key battleground in season 3.

Either way, how creepy is it that we finally have a villain that talks? The Mind Flayer was scary enough, but now that it can verbally gloat about murdering someone’s whole family, it’s simply terrifying.

Oh, and it looks like Billy is going to be the Mind Flayer’s new host. This is great for Will — who hopefully will catch a break this season and not be kidnapped or possessed by a creature from the Upside Down for once — and Billy; because Billy is a dick and we all know he is probably super-enjoying every last bit of terror he’s going bring to the town of Hawkins.

Anyway, if you need a refresher course on the previous two seasons of Stranger Things before season 3 gets here, then watch this totally adorable video of the cast recapping everything that’s happened so far.

Stranger Things season 3 drops on July 4, only on Netflix. If so much as a hair on Steve’s head is hurt in any way, we riot.
