As one family monarch once said, “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!” Not long ago, HBO announced that a large contingent of Game of Thrones cast members would be descending on Hall H at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con’s for a victory lap now that the show is over. Today, HBO announced a few new additions, including showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss. Things just got really interesting.

SAN DIEGO, CA – JULY 25: (L-R) Moderator Craig Ferguson, writer/producers D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, actors Pedro Pascal, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Gwendoline Christie, Rory McCann and Maisie Williams, writer George R.R. Martin, actors Natalie Dormer, Sophie Turner, Kit Harington, Rose Leslie and John Bradley attend HBO’s “Game Of Thrones” panel and Q&A during Comic-Con International 2014 at San Diego Convention Center on July 25, 2014 in San Diego, California. Look, it’s no secret that many fans didn’t love the final season on the show, with a lot of ire aimed at Benioff and Weiss. Notably, we haven’t heard from either of them since the show ended. Comic-Con might end up being their first public appearance since the series finale, which could be a good or a bad thing. On the one hand, Comic-Con is a celebration of geekdom and the audience may be willing to have a good-natured celebration of everything Game of Thrones did for TV with the cast and crew. But if anyone is still salty about the ending, things could get awkward.

The full panel, which is subject to change, includes Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei of Naath), Iain Glen (Ser Jorah Mormont), Conleth Hill (Varys), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark). Then there’s Benioff and Weiss, plus “The Long Night” and “The Bells” director Miguel Sapochnik. It was rumored that A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin might appear, but there’s no official word on that as of yet.
