A fan made moving LEGO versions of castles from the Game of Thrones opening

I wonder how long it’ll be until there’s a show with an opening sequence as memorable as the one for Game of Thrones. I’m sure one will come along eventually, but between Ramin Djawadi’s sweeping music, the patchwork map of Westeros, and the clockwork castles rising out of the ground, I predict it’ll be a good long while.

Good times.

Anyway, until that fabled intro becomes a reality, we can rely on the creativity of fans to fill in the gap, and luckily, they are full to bursting with ideas. Today, I present the work of one Jonas Kramm, who created several of the Game of Thrones castles using LEGO blocks. That by itself isn’t monumentally impressive, but it is when you consider that the castles all have moving parts he turns with a crank. Watch:

"[No Spoilers] I built a series of Moving GoT Castles with LEGO inspired by the show intro from gameofthrones"

I spy King’s Landing, Winterfell, Pyke, Castle Black, the Eyrie, and Braavos. Look at the winch at Castle Black bob up and down, or the ball — standing in for the coin — roll down the slopes over at over in Braavos. This is wonderful work!
