Netflix is heading to the infamous Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this year, according to Deadline! This is very exciting news for multiple reasons, including but not limited to the fact that they are bringing The Witcher. Hello, Henry Cavill.
On Friday, July 19, Netflix will be spilling all the details about The Witcher as well as The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. First up will be The Witcher from 2:15-3:15 p.m. We assume that Cavill will be there. Do we really need to know more than that? No, but let’s find out anyway.
For those of you don’t know anything about The Witcher, it’s a fantasy series that follows professional monster hunter Geralt of Riveria (Cavill) as he navigates a turbulent world full of hostile creatures and people who can be even worse. Whether or not you’ve read the books or played the video game, this Netflix series will definitely be worth watching, because, you know, CAVILL.
Hopefully we’ll get a trailer.
Right after The Witcher panel, The Dark Crystal panel will take place from 3:30-5:15 p.m. Given that the panel is almost two hours, we can all but assume that fans will get a sneak peek at the first episode. At least in my experience, that’s what a long panel time usually indicates, so if you’re going to SDCC and are a Dark Crystal fan, you won’t want to miss it.

The coolest part about the Dark Crystal is its roster of extremely impressive voice talent, which includes people like Taron Egerton, Nathalie Emmanuel, Outlander star Caitriona Balfe, Helena Bonham Carter, Natalie Dormer, Eddie Izzard, Oscar winner Alicia Vikander, Harvey Fierstein, Mark Hamill, Keegan-Michael Key, Simon Pegg, Andy Samberg, Lena Headey and Sigourney Weaver. Honestly, almost any of those people appearing at the SDCC would be impressive, and we can expect to see several.
