Star Wars furniture collection makes the Dark Side look cozier than ever

With San Diego Comic-Con and Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker on the way, you can expect to see plenty of new Star Wars merchandise popping up all over the place during the latter half of this year. That includes high-end, luxury furniture sets that make your living room feel more like a galaxy far, far away.

Kenneth Cobonpue has released a new collection of Star Wars-themed furniture pieces that will have any superfan redecorating their home. Disney commissioned the collaboration with the Filipino designer, who was more than happy to oblige. In an Instagram post promoting the launch event for the products, the designer said the decor was “inspired by the global phenomenon that transcends generations.” Clearly, Cobonpue is a big fan of the franchise himself.

Included in the collection are several different types of armchairs, each one reminiscent of a different object or character from the Star Wars franchise. The Dark Side looks mighty cozy with the Sidious Easy and Vader Easy armchair designs. While the thought of snuggling up members of the Sith is anything but appealing, we might consider teaming up with them lords in return for an armchair as awesome looking as this one:

There’s also an Imperial TIE Fighter Wings set, with a matching armchair and tables, both of which are designed to look like the TIE Fighters used by the Empire in the movies. Sadly, they won’t be able to shoot down any enemies that enter your living room, but they do add a unique, intergalactic look to your living space.

For those who aren’t quite ready to join the Dark Side, there are also two good-guy options to spruce up your pad. First is a Chewbacca-inspired stool, which is perfect for putting your feet up after a long day. (No, sadly, it doesn’t make Wookiee sounds.)

There’s also a Jedi-themed floor lamp. Admittedly, it isn’t as comfy looking as the Sith-inspired options are, but hey, the Dark Side has to have some perks to convert all those Jedi knights.

What’s great about these pieces is that they aren’t the flimsy sorts of home decor you’d find in a department store. Cobonpue’s collection is high quality, and the price reflects that. Pieces cost between $1,345 and $2,800, meaning they definitely won’t be in every fan’s budget — but hey, they’re still better than a $25,000 R2 unit from Galaxy’s Edge, right?

Of course, there are plenty of other ways to bring Star Wars into your home without spending a couple grand on seating and accents. Stores like ThinkGeek , Hot Topic, and BoxLunch offer considerably cheaper means of decorating your house or apartment with tokens of your favorite fandoms, Star Wars included. But if you do have the funds to splurge on a fancy Sith armchair, you probably won’t regret it.
