American Horror Story: 1984 first look–’80s fashion and a monster-sized dong

Love it or hate it, FX’s American Horror Story has been going strong for eight seasons, and it’s about to head into its ninth, as show-creator Ryan Murphy revealed on Thursday. Murphy uploaded several videos to his Instagram, introducing the cast and announcing that filming on season 9 had officially begun.

The videos are combined in one post from Murphy, and it shows that season 9 will focus on a summer camp setting in 1984, giving off some major Stranger Things vibes. The cast whirl and twirl in front of the camera…and oh yeah, the monster for this new season is revealed to be a gigantic penis. Okay, I’m only half kidding. Check it out:

In case you were wondering, the third video features Glee alum Matthew Morrison, rocking a very large fake member. Yeah, it’s going to that kind of season, and no, I don’t remember anything like that on Stranger Things.
