Is there more to Eleven’s backstory?

For a lore perspective, the latest season of Stranger Things focus primarily on what’s happening with the Mind Flayer. But with all that’s happened in Hawkins, the characters don’t get much time to reflect on themselves. And we don’t learn anything new about Eleven’s backstory, something the show dug into in the past two seasons. The most we get is a quick reminder of some of the stuff we learned about Eleven’s mother in season 2. Eleven dives into Billy’s mind, and we see his backstory, and it’s really interesting, but not many of us were clamoring for that.

Even so, season 3 kept the memory of Elle’s mother alive. Could there be more to learn about her story? Remember: although she’s basically comatose, Terry is still alive. Perhaps we could dive down that rabbit hole in season 4.
