One of the most talked-about moments from Game of Thrones season 8 was Daenerys Targaryen’s heel turn in “The Bells.” Astride Drogon, Dany rains down fiery death on the inhabitants of King’s Landing while Tyrion, Jon, and Davos look on in horror. While this is happening, the Unsullied and Dothraki run amok down the city streets, Arya tries to save a mother and her child escape the carnage, and the long-prophesied Cleganebowl finally plays out.

In short, there were a lot of important things happening at once. Redditor u/bchris17 captured the highlights in this beautiful, hilarious painting of a medieval-style manuscript. Behold:

"[SPOILERS]Spent the last couple of months painting this medieval style manuscript. Enjoy! from gameofthrones"

“Daenerys the Vengeful came to King’s Landing; whereupon she left no souls standing. And when poor Qyburn did Ser Gregor soundly dismiss; Cersei thought, ‘Ah f*ck…I can’t believe you’ve done this.'”

So, right off the bat, let’s give u/bchris17 props for using the “I can’t believe you’ve done this” meme as the last line of their epic script:

There aren’t many people who still remember the dankest meme of 2007, and better yet, there aren’t many people who can work it into a medieval manyscript.

Let’s break the painting down even further: Up top, we’ve got Daenerys flipping the bird.

Below, Qyburn’s brains have been knocked out of his skull by the Mountain:

And at the bottom, we’ve got Grey Worm stabbing a Lannister soldier as Jon, Davos, Tyrion and Arya all look on with various expressions of worry:

Also, that soldier with the beard looks an awful lot like Game of Thrones extra Andrew McClay, the hero of Jeanie Finlay’s Game of Thrones: The Last Watch documentary.

. Andrew McClay as Stark Soldier

I’d spend good money on a whole book of manuscripts from u/bchris17.

Next. Maisie Williams open to playing Arya again “down the road”. dark
